This story backtracks about a year ago, when I bought my first digital Camera.

Recovering from an injury in the surf, there was a superrrrbb opportunity to buy a camera and film Aaron surf, soon a new found love for editing and filming begin.

The first part of the video includes Aaron Kelly surfing the rest of the session I missed out on in Gold Coast, Australia, during a mini road trip down for the swell.

Secondly featuring local boys and Buster Barton making the most of traffic control and clocking a sad face on the speed monitor (42km/h) Bombing “Hangers” hill, who later went back to set a new record 10kms faster. Followed by some surfing the next day just over the hill.

Thirdly, a meet up with another extremely talented mate from home, Quinn Bruce who moved to Gold Coast to further his Surfing after school, I had told him that I was out of action and keen to film, so Quinn introduced me to Loui Hnd, another Modest, great surfer who was fun to film and work with. These boys scored the swell in multiple spots this day and I was grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the session.

The music in this clip from Sundew was Recorded at the “Durran” House, an open Garage gig for friends, surfers and the creative community in GC, one of the neighbours, an artist from Stones Corner Club heard the noise and offered to run microphones from his studio to capture the vibe, and thus became the video.
